Focus:The goals of the Association are to further the ability for animals to be transported and ensuring that this transport is carried out in a humane manner, consistent with all applicable rules and regulations. Most all of us in the research field rely on some form of transport in order to receive our laboratory animals. The AATA acts to monitor the myriad of regulations and policies that affect this transport, as well as the transport of exotics, livestock, companion animals, equine and many other species. The 2010 Florida conference will have a specific track geared towards issues and concerns involving the transport of laboratory animals.
