Position Description:
In cooperation with the Bioko Biodiversity Protection Program and the National University of Equatorial Guinea, Arcadia University's Center for Education Abroad (CEA) offers two semesters of study abroad each year on Bioko Island, Equatorial Guinea. The program is limited to twelve students each semester. SEVERAL SPACES STILL REMAIN OPEN FOR FALL 2007 SEMESTER!
This program offers a unique opportunity to study primate ecology in a natural habitat with one of Africa's outstanding conservation biologists (Dr. Tom Butynski).

Qualifications/Experience:
The applicant must have sophomore or higher standing as an undergraduate at (or be a graduate of) an accredited US college or university. Additional requirements (including at least a year of college-level Spanish) are outlined on the CEA website.
Salary/funding:
Most students are able to apply scholarship aid from their home university.
Support
provided for internship/volunteer positions (travel, meals, lodging):
Program fee ($11,995)includes full-time tuition, housing, orientation, support services, International Student Identity Card, student health and accident insurance and transcripts. The program typically awards 16 units of academic credit.
Term of Appointment:
Fall Semester 2007: Approximately September 10 through December 14, depending on flight schedules.
