Position Description:
Project Protection des Gorilles Gabon is based out of Franceville supporting the gorilla reintroduction project in the Plateau Bateke National Park.
This position will be based within the PBNP and includes responsibilities for reintroducing a third gorilla group.
Initial tasks would include familiarization of data collection, hiring and training new site staff members and supervising construction of satellite camp.

Fluent in French and English.
Extensive overseas experience, and at least 2 years at a management level. Work within the non-profit or NGO sector is of particular relevance. Experience within the conservation sector would be an advantage but is not essential.
Veterinary or medical background advantageous but not essential.
Computer literate with word and excel fluency the minimum. MapInfo or similar and Access an advantage.
Fit and healthy and have the ability to withstand high temperatures and humidity.
Ability to work under pressure for long hours and to be able to work in isolated areas.
Leadership skills, but also the ability to be a team member.
Good report writing skills.
Book keeping or basic accounting and office management skills.
The candidates will need to be able to drive in four wheel conditions and drive an outboard boat.
