Educational Background:
EDUCATION
2006 – 2007 Master of Research in Primatology. Roehampton University, London.
1 Year full time taught and research education. Including a research project with 3 months in the field collecting data. The course is on going from September 2006 until September 2007. Research in Kibale National park,Uganda

2002 – 2005 Master of Science in Biology, 170 credits. Göteborg University, Sweden
Degree project 20 credits in animal ecology. 40 credits represent a full academic year and 1 credit equals one week of full-time study. Almost all the literature used during the study was in the English language.

1999 – 2001 Secondary School for adult students, Ulricehamn, Sweden
Nature & Science.

1996 – 1998 Tourism and sport education, Malmfältens folk high school, Sweden
The main aims of this training are to be competent as an activity guide. The subjects were; skiing, climbing, canoeing, healthcare and safety in the mountains. Most courses were taught in the field.

1995 Hotel & Restaurant School, Göteborg, Sweden
Education in working with tourism, where some lessons were in English.

1985 – 1987 Secondary School, Laholm, Sweden.

FIELD EXPERIENCE
2005 Degree project in animal ecology and voluntary work in Costa Rica.
6 months in Santa Rosa national park, working in tropical dry forests with the ecologist and biology Professor Daniel H Janzen´s project “The caterpillar rearing project”. During this time I also did my field study for my degree project for 12 weeks. I also had the opportunity to go out in the forest with the monkey researchers (howler and spider monkeys) to observe and take part of their work.


SCHOLARSHIPS
2005 Mfs scholarship
Minor field study scholarship financed by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, Sida.
This scholarship sponsored my Degree project in Costa Rica.

Qualifications/Experience:
WORK EXPERIENCE
1995 - 1996 Åreguiderna, Åre, Sweden
Guide work including preparing and participating in arrangements for 1 – 500 persons in activity tourism and teambuilding. This includes problem solving for groups out in the field.

1994 – 1995 Lindvallens Restaurants, Sälen, Sweden
This restaurant is situated in a ski resort.


1989 – 1991 Hotel Mellbystrand/ Restaurant Tre Laxar
Receptionist and restaurant work.




LANGUAGE SKILLS
Swedish Mother tongue
English Good, I am used to speaking English in work and conversations.
Spanish Learned to speak in Costa Rica, can manage an easy conversation.
French Beginners level.
