Position Description:
We are looking for passionate and hard-working volunteers for our multi-species sanctuary on Bali. Volunteers will be based at our sanctuary in Tabanam, Bali which is quite remote. The sanctuary is set in a very rural area far from most tourist sites and towns, therefore volunteers will spend most of their time at the sanctuary.

Volunteers will be involved mainly with the care of our group of 35 Balinese long-tailed macaques who are all rescued and in the processed of being rehabilitated for the possibility of release.

Volunteers will be expected to work 8 hours per day, 6 days per week. This schedule can be flexible depending on the number of volunteers at the centre at the time and may be discussed in person with the volunteer coordinator.

Daily duties will include, but are not limited to:
? Chopping and preparing food for animals
? Cleaning animal enclosures
? Creating unique enrichment devices for the monkeys
? Spending quality time with any dogs that are in need
? Helping with minor first aid procedures as needed
? Light landscaping work as needed.

Volunteers will preferrably have, or will be pursuing a Bachelors degree in animal science, ecology, zoology, or a related field.

Previous experience with animal welfare is a plus.

Volunteer fees depend on the length of stay and include room and board at the sanctuary, full access to all sanctuary facilities, and home-cooked, vegetarian Indonesian meals 2 times per day, 7 days per week.
The volunteer fees are:

Short-term volunteers (0-6 weeks) - $300/week

Long term volunteers (6+ consecutive weeks) - $150/week

Support provided for internship/volunteer positions (travel, meals, lodging):
2 meals per day are provided at the sanctuary as part of the volunteer fees. Volunteers are responsible for their own travel costs however.
