Volunteer Manager at ATO in Bénin

Position Description:
ATO is looking for a volunteer manager for six months minimum to supervise volunteers and Beninese employees working at the center. The manager must demonstrate authority with great adaptability to deal with the cultural differences of the country. The manager will ensure the proper functioning of the center through the daily tasks to be accomplished and will give instructions to the volunteers and employees.

Some of the responsabilities are:
- Receive volunteers, explains rules and the daily work
- Accommodate volunteers schedule
- Train volunteers for daily work: It means show they how to do, with what materials, where the materials are, what cages they can or can not clean/feed, what to do in a emergency
- Make sure volunteers are doing their work correctly
- Check if there is broken things in the cages

- Previous experience as a volunteer with animals
- Experience coordinating a team
- Open mind and patience
- Should be a communicative person, able to work with a multicultural team

Conversational French required

This is a voluntary position without a salary.

Support provided for internship/volunteer positions (travel, meals, lodging):
No financial contribution is requested, accommodation and meals are taken care of by the center.

Term of Appointment:
ASAP. Minimum six months.
