NeuroPharmacology Group Leader
DNS-China is a recently formed wholly owned foreign enterprise in Kunming China with a sister company, Dart NeuroScience LLC (DNS) in San Diego USA. DNS-China is focused on evaluating the effects of small molecule therapeutics on NHP cognition (memory formation).
We are seeking a Group Leader (Head of Research) to lead a NeuroPharmacology group of 5-7 research associates to design and execute behavioral evaluations of preclinical candidate drugs in a brand new facility located in the New College Town, Chenggong, Kunming, Yunnan, China. The successful candidate will be responsible (i) for establishing behavior models using the CANTAB system, (ii) to train the NeuroPharm staff and (iii) to manage the daily operations of the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for data analysis (including basic statistical analysis), data presentation and completion of study reports (in English).
The selected candidate will report to the General Manager, Dr. Xianbo Zhou and will work in a fast-paced team environment that demands execution of time-dependent experiments and must be organized with data collection, notebook recording and reporting.
• A PhD degree in neuroscience (behavioral or pharmacological) and hands on experience with non-human primate behavior
• Knowledge of the CANTAB system preferred
• Motivated team player with a can-do attitude
• Strong work ethic
• Fluent English required and Chinese preferred
