Executive Assistant to the Director of Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary - - 386-462-7779

Jungle Friends is a small non-profit with a national support base. We are looking for the right person to translate our mission and core values into ideas and executable plans to engage online audiences in the social media space, and produce measurable results in expanding our community and support base. You must be friendly and have good communication skills, work well with others and have the ability to lead others as well as follow. The successful team member will come to Jungle Friends with an open mind and open heart. We need someone who has a way with computers to help us keep our website updated, our emails flowing, and our files and equipment doing our bidding.

Duties & Qualifications Include:
• Provide assistance as needed for the Executive Director, including arranging travel plans.
• Provide high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, and handling information requests.
• Perform clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings.
• General office skills: filing, copying, scanning, organizing documents, ordering and maintaining supplies for the animals, as well as medical and office supplies.
• Telephone etiquette and records keeping of every call and follow-up in every area.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint.
• Accurate data entry into several systems; data base (Donor Perfect), email marketing (Constant Contact) and accounting (QuickBooks).
• Strong computer skills, including file management, organization and troubleshooting.
• Provide technical support and assistance for all office software and computer equipment.
• Extensive experience with social media networking from a business or marketing perspective as well as personal use.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Participate in special projects such as creating newsletters, email campaigns, researching and writing grants, and organizing special events.
• Ability to translate the day-to-day realities and issues of our organization into engaging stories and effective campaigns to engage and expand our online community and support base.
• Day-to-day social networking tasks; posting, managing friends, creating content, Wishes & Causes, engaging others with photos, videos and comments using Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Blogger, LinkedIn, BranchOut, Flickr, and more.
• Create and edit video files and upload to YouTube–-we use Adobe Premiere Pro & Photo Shop.
• Maintain and update the Jungle Friends website with some knowledge of HTML coding.
• Bulk mailings, prompt thank you notes (on-line and postal) packing/shipping
• Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Grants and Google Apps is a plus.
• Train and supervise lower-level clerical staff, volunteers and interns.
• Enthusiasm to learn our philosophy, mission, history, issues and values.
• Commitment to animal advocacy.

$25,000 - 30,000 to start depending on skill level.

Support provided for internship/volunteer positions (travel, meals, lodging):
Option to live on site.
