Enclosure construction - solar powered electric fence expert

Position Description:
We are just starting construction of two new semi-wild enclosures for our growing chimpanzee groups at Tacugama and need an experienced pair of hands to help with this major project. Our existing team are very experienced with fence construction and maintenance but this is a big project and we'd benefit from an experienced, enthusiastic person to help with the task. We're especially looking for someone with excellent electrical knowledge to ensure that we continue to optimise our use of solar power.

Ideally you'd be available for a two to three month period early in 2012

Qualifications/Experience:
- Previous experience of large electric fencing projects
- Excellent electrical engineering knowledge, especially solar powered systems
- Good project and people management skills, must be a committed team player
- Will ideally have previously worked in Africa and lived in more remote conditions
- An enthusiastic "can do" attitude

Salary/funding:
This is a voluntary position

Support provided for internship/volunteer positions (travel, meals, lodging):
Tacugama will provide on site accommodation and one meal daily.

Term of Appointment:
Anticipated 2-3 months from early 2012
