Position Description:
You will be responsible for the cleaning, feeding, monitoring and observations, enrichment, sometimes hand rearing or accompanying a primate to the vet, or introductions of the Marmosets, Tamarins, Squirrel Monkeys, Mona Monkeys, Capuchins and Macaques currently at our sanctuary in Pretoria, South Africa. The work is very hands-on and is a great opportunity to gain experience if you are considering a career in primate welfare. None of our primates can go back to the wild, so volunteers are permitted to go into the enclosures of our more friendly primates.
Qualifications/Experience:
No qualifications required - on site training given
Salary/funding:
Volunteer positions - Fees will apply
Term of Appointment:
International Primate Rescue accepts volunteers all year round, has a minimum stay of one week
