Positions Wanted

Illegal trade, wildlife crime

Date Posted:
2009-09-12

Position Description:
I am looking for a training position or a job suited to my experiences, ideally in wildlife crime or/and illegal trade of primates (or any other species). I am also interested in working for a charity/NGO that works with primate conservation and maybe involved with volunteer coordinating.

Educational Background:
BSc Honors, Animal Conservation Science.

Qualifications/Experience:
Various experience on volunteer placements in a number of different countries including Thailand, The Gambia, South Africa and Turkey; involving hands on research or general husbandry of a number of primate species as well as other species and other indirect research.
Thesis on the change in Basking Shark length in UK waters over a 20 year period, for the Marine Conservation Society.

Application Deadline:
Immediately/on going

Comments:
I am very enthusiastic and am very keen to learn many new aspects of conservation work that I do not know now. Having just graduated I lack a lot of experience needed for many positions so therefore would love an opportunity to show what I am capable of. I am willing to travel to most places.
