Position Description:
I am looking to acquire a position from May until mid-September working with captive Primates (zoos, sanctuaries, public and private collections).

I wish to spend this time gaining more practical skills in the field of primate behaviour before I begin a year's MSc in Primate Biology and Conservation in the autumn.

I have experience with diet preparation, cleaning of habitats, creation of enrichment (both temporary, and as part of a habitat), socialisations to form groups, observing and recording accurate behavioural patterns.

I am based in the south-east of England.

Educational Background:
Undergraduate degree in Zoology, specialising in a dissertation on the differences in grooming behaviour in captive Woolly Monkeys based on rearing strategy.

Two-month Internship at Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary.

Qualifications/Experience:
One month spent Volunteering at The Monkey Sanctuary Trust in Looe, Cornwall with the Woolly Monkeys.

Two months spent in voluntary internship at Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary, Florida, during which I was the Head Caregiver for their four species of Marmosets (Common and Black Tufted-Ear) and Tamarins (Cotton-Top and Golden-Handed) as well as helping care for Capuchins (Brown, White-Faced, White-Fronted and Weeper), Spider Monkeys (Black-handed, and Peruvian), and Squirrel Monkeys (Common and Bolivian).
