Position Description:
Chimfunshi RaEC offers three international Internships each year. These internships are highly competitive and require individuals who are dedicated to making the most of their time, as well as to making a difference. Internship duties are not set but are designed around the interests and skills of the specific interns themselves, as well as the activities occurring at the Sanctuary during the Intern Session. Interns will also act in a supervisory role helping to oversee the research and education volunteers.
Besides working on their assigned tasks, Interns will also be expected to:
-Organize and attend the Seminars of visiting researchers
-Write a short bio for the Volunteer web site
-Write a blog of their experience for the research (http://theapestale.blogspot.com/) and/or education blogs (http://touchingthemoon.blogspot.com) and the RaEC blog (http://chimfunshi.blogspot.com)
-Write a submission for the Chimfunshi Newsletter
Qualifications/Experience:
In general, applicants should
-be in good physical and mental condition
-feel comfortable being far away from family and friends
-be emotionally mature, energetic, and very patient
-have excellent attention to detail
-not be afraid of bugs and snakes
-have very good social skills
-be able to maintain a positive attitude towards hard and tiring work
Salary/funding:
This is a volunteer position.

Interns are exempt from the Volunteer Fee, all other fees apply
