Would you like to travel across Africa producing digital video, conservation websites, produce educational materials or take part in unique research?
Do you want to make a real difference helping to support primate sanctuaries and their surrounding communities?
The Great Primate Handshake is a not-for-profit, conservation awareness tour of Africa that aims, through the production of digital media, to raise awareness of primate conservation programmes & sanctuaries.
No previous digital media experience is needed as full training and equipment will be provided, you just need a desire to make a difference to the world of primate conservation.
2009 expeditions will be taking place in Kenya, Uganda and South Africa
Utilising an overland vehicle as a mobile production unit, volunteer will learn to produce the video and internet content necessary to support primate sanctuaries into the future whilst experiencing Africa’s breathtaking landscapes.

Qualifications/Experience:
None required but an interest in the follow areas is desirable.
Volunteers will be taught in the following 4 disciplines:
• Digital Video Production.
• Website design and interactive media.
• Print, publication & photography.
• Internet technology & radio production.
• Anthropology.
Salary/funding:
The cost of a 28 day expedition (Kenya, Uganda or South Africa) is £1,500 which includes food, accomodation & equipment use.
