Position Description:
The Primate Center is seeking a highly motivated person to work in the Assay Services Unit, which specializes in measuring hormones for nonhuman and human primate samples. This position will be for performing HPLC analyses of samples. Duties will include processing human and nonhuman primate serum and urine samples through solid phase extraction techniques, preparing standards for compounds such as catecholamines and vitamin D3, validating the precision of the analyses and running samples.
Qualifications/Experience:
BS in Biology, Chemistry or related fields
We are seeking an applicant with a background in HPLC (ultra violet or electrochemical detection) or willing to learn and perform analyses and method development. This position requires an independent person who can work on his or her own and have good problem solving skills.
Salary/funding:
Minimum salary of $29,100
Salary dependent upon qualifications
