Position Description:
Research technician needed in a dynamic neurophysiological
lab. Research focuses on the neural basis of motor control
and learning. Duties include training of nonhuman primates
(M.mulatta) for behavioral tasks, running experiments and
assisting others with running their experiments, monitoring
of animal health, maintenance of health records, assisting
in routine veterinary procedures, ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, maintaining animal protocol forms, coordinating research
activities, and performing various other duties as necessary
for the functioning of the laboratory.

Qualifications/Experience:
The ideal candidate will have experience with nonhuman
primate training and care. Bachelor’s degree preferred, or
comparable experience. Knowledge of basic surgical
procedures and postoperative care is desirable. The
successful candidate must be proficient with Microsoft
Office Suite, have strong organizational and communication
skills, work well with multiple personalities, work well
independently with limited direction, remain flexible, and
possess strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
