ORGANIZATION.
National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Diseases
Vaccine Research Center

TASKS/SERVICES. The contractor shall:
• Oversee NIC operations, including consulting on the design and implementation of NHP (Non-Human Primates) studies
• Coordinate all studies, sample collection, and analysis with the VRC laboratory of Animal Medicine, including writing and defending Animal Study Protocols
• Develop standard operating procedure form and validating, cellular and humoral immunogenicity assays
• Implement all testing according to guidelines
• Prepare oral and written presentations of studies for both internal and external use
• Coordinate with VRC Principal Investigators to design, implement, and analyze immunogenicity and immunopathogenesis experiments for basic research projects
DELIVERABLES. Upon request, the contractor shall provide documentation evidence of any and/or all work product, including, but not limited to, the following tasks:
• Work products and documents related to overseeing NIC operations, including consulting on the design and implementation of NHP studies
• Work products and documents related to coordinating studies, sample collection, and analysis with the VRC laboratory of Animal Medicine, including writing and defending Animal Study Protocols
• Work products and documents related to preparing oral and written presentations of studies for internal and external use
• Work products and documents related to coordinating with VRC Principal Investigators to design, implement, and analyze immunogenicity and immunopathogenesis experiments for basic research projects
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSE, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OR OTHER EXPERTISE REQUIRED. The contractor must have:
• Ph.D and/or M.D. and 5 years of postdoctoral experience
• Candidates with experience in the NHP model and/or experience with general lab practice will have a significant advantage

The place of performance is NIAID/VRC Bethesda, MD
Qualifications/Experience:
