Position Description:
Looking to gain experience in the field assisting with an ongoing study of primate groups, gathering data and better understanding research methods. Willing to travel pretty much anywhere, prefer position with funding available but definitely willing to consider those that don't
Educational Background:
Will have degree in Anthropology (w/ honors) and one in History in May of 2008, have taken courses on primate behavior and conservation but unfortunately do not have experience with non-human primates yet (hard to find them in Montana!)
Qualifications/Experience:
I have much experience with camping, hiking and outdoors in general. I am highly motivated and in good physical condition, work very well in groups and alone. A very quick learner, and I have excellent speaking and writing skills
Application Deadline:
Available either early May or July for at least 6 months, likely one year
Comments:
If I do not find a position that begins earlier than June I will be attending a field school in Costa Rica to learn how to collect data, this will enhance experience level
