NEW National Primate Research Centers - Research and Capabilities Website

The National Primate Research Center (NPRC) Consortium is pleased to announce the release of the NPRC Research and Capabilities Inventory Website.  The purpose of the website is to provide investigators, collaborators and program managers with an informative resource to help facilitate innovative research with nonhuman primates. Detailed information is provided regarding specific areas of research, support capabilities, and publications for each NPRC.  We strongly encourage consultation with any of the Centers to discuss particular areas of interest.

IUCN has released its biennial list of the 25 most threatened primate species and estimates over HALF of all primate species are threatened with extinction.

Launch of Nash Collection of Primates in Art and Illustration

Staff at the Jacobsen Library are pleased to announce the launch of The Nash Collection of Primates in Art and Illustration, a searchable and browsable collection of historical images that illustrate how nonhuman primates have been depicted over time. The collection is a collaboration between Stephen Nash, Scientific Illustrator and Adjunct Associate Professor at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and staff of the Lawrence Jacobsen Library at the Wisconsin National Primate Research Center, University of Wisconsin, and is hosted by the University of Wisconsin's Digital Collections Center.
