Research Objectives: A range of questions are addressed related to three main topics:
1) causes and consequences of habitat quality variation on gibbon and leaf monkey populations
2) tropical plant reproductive behavior
3) vertebrate ecology and conservation biology

Species Studied: Hylobates albibarbis (Bornean white-bearded gibbon), Presbytis rubicunda (maroon langur)

Other Species at Site: Macaca fascicularis (long-tailed macaque), Macaca nemestrina (pigtail macaque), Nycticebus coucang (slow loris), Pongo pygmaeus (Bornean orangutan), Tarsius bancanus (Horsfield's tarsier)

Comments: This research project, and the field site more generally, are run in collaboration and coordination with the Gunung Palung National Park Bureau, Universitas Tanjungpura, and relevant Indonesian governmental sponsors. We welcome collaborators or other researchers interested in working at the site, but formal permission to conduct research in Indonesia and Gunung Palung National Park must be obtained from the appropriate governmental institutions. The site directors, Knott and Marshall, do not have the authority to grant permission to work at the site.
