Alamogordo Primate Facility (Established 2001)

Mission: As a Center of Excellence for Chimpanzee Health Care, it is the mission of the Alamogordo Primate Facility to continue to improve the Quality of Life for captive chimpanzee by advancing the standards of health care. To that end the APF maintains NIH-owned chimpanzees in the best possible housing conditions. Clientele: NIH Principal Research Programs: Animal Care, Veterinary Services, Primate Housing, Consulting, Staffing Training Opportunities: Externships and Postgraduate Primate Residency Financial Aid: Veterinary Externs are paid a stipend. Primate Resident is paid as full time staff member.
