Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Programme (Established 2001)

Mission: To establish a new conservation programme that will include establishing and managing an orangutan medical quarantine, a re-introduction site and facilities, and an orangutan viewing centre, including a training programme for tourist guides and park rangers; To improve law enforcement for the protection of orangutans and to promote the conservation of wild orangutans in their natural habitat; To promote nature conservation in Indonesia.
