Principal Research Programs: Geographic distribution of Alouatta caraya in Argentina. Dominance and paternity in A. caraya, Social behavior in A. caraya. Impact of deforestation in populations of A. caraya. The role of A. caraya as seed dispersor. Husbandry and reproduction of Cebus apella and Saimiri sciureus in captivity. Training Opportunities: Educational opportunities available for undergraduate, graduate, and professional. Also the Biological Station is open to resarchers from all the countries interested in develop projects and educational activities. Financial Aid: Financial support is available to undergraduate in a limited amount. There are apportunities for volunteer students that collaborate in our research programs. See the Web site. Web Site: http://ar.geocities.com/yacarehu Comments: After ceasing activities the Argentine Center of Primates (CAPRim) -where the EBCo is located now- the MACN asked to the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) for the transference of the facilities, equipment and personnel with the objective of creating a new Biological Station. In May 2001 the CONICET approved the proposal and in September 2001 the MACN initiated the activities destined to develop new scientific and educational activities in the Biological Station.
