Mission: This collection is an archive of over 11,000 slides, 1,000 videotapes and DVDs, and 100 audiotapes relating to nonhuman primates. The purpose of this collection is to provide a scientific base for new studies, to assist in the preservation of the vocal and behavioral repertoire of all species of nonhuman primates, and to serve as a repository for natural history materials. Materials cover such areas as taxonomy, behavior, veterinary and animal husbandry, research methodologies, conservation and animal welfare.

Clientele: Items in the collection may be borrowed by anyone with an interest in primates.

Principal Research Programs: We have a collection of 3,500 copyright-free art images collected by artist Stephen Nash which will be available online through a database in 2007.
