Mission: Promotion of research into all aspects of primate biology, including human evolution, conservation of primate populations and their habitats, and the welfare of primates. The Society promotes education in primate biology by holding conferences, symposia and lectures.

Committees: Conservation Working Party: Aims to coordinate action on conservation issues relating to primates and to make small grants towards projects with a particular emphasis on conservation education in habitat countries. Captive Care Working Party: To coordinate action, and advise, on matters relating to the care of primates in laboratory and other captive settings, to advise on matters relating to the ethics of how primates are treated in captivity. Marketing Working Party: Aims to raise money annually to donate all profits to a specified cause related to conservation or research each year.

Meetings: The PSGB hosts two meetings annually, the Spring meeting (usually late March, early April) emphasises student presentations. The Winter meeting (usually held late November, early December) is held at the London Zoo. Please see for further details.

Publications: "Primate Eye" (triannual)

Grants: The Society offers small grants for conservation and for captive care. The Osman-Hill lecture is awarded for distinguished contribution to primatology every two years. The Napier Medal for young researchers is also awarded every two years.
