Mission: To support animal experiments, including supplying animals to the faculty of medicine in the Shiga University of Medical Science.

Principal Research Programs: 1) Investigation of artifical insemination(AI), in-vitro fertilization-embryo transfer(IVF-ET), and intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection(ICSI-ET) in the establishment of indoor artificial breeding methodology for the Japanese monkey and Crab-eating monkey; 2)Establishment of iPS cell lines of the Crab-eating monkey; 3) Establishment of emburyonic stem(ES) cell lines of the Japanese monkey and the Crab-eating monkey; 4) Production of trasnsgenic monkey by nuclear transfer using gene transfered ES cells
