Mission: The African Wildlife Foundation works toward building the capacity of
African individuals and institutions to manage effectively their
natural resources, especially wildlife and wildlife habitats.

Principal Research Programs: AWF helps build African capacity in natural resource management through
training of professionals, institutional strengthening, and identifying
and testing innovative solutions through flagship projects in community
conservation, species and ecosystem conservation, and conservation and
commerce. These are then used as a base of experience to further
impact conservation by other institutions in Africa.
