Pan African Prosimian Survey (Jan.68 - ongoing)

Research Objectives: Biogeography, taxonomy, phylogeny, behaviour, ecology and conservation of galagos, pottos and angwantibos. Field Positions and Volunteers: Researchers travelling to these regions are welcome to collaborate with the NRPG if they are able to collect data on nocturnal prosimians ie vocal recordings, observational data, hair and tissue samples etc. Species Studied: Euoticus elegantulus (western needle-nailed bushbaby), Euoticus pallidus (northern needle-clawed bushbaby), Galago alleni (Allen's bushbaby), Galago gabonensis (Gabon Allen's bushbaby), Galago gallarum (Somali bushbaby), Galago granti (Grant's bushbaby), Galago matschiei (dusky bushbaby), Galago moholi (South African lesser bushbaby), Galago senegalensis (lesser bushbaby), Galago zanzibaricus (Zanzibar galago), Otolemur crassicaudatus (thick-tailed bushbaby), Otolemur garnettii (Garnett's galago) Last Updated: 2007-04-02 [Edit Entry] [Delete Entry] [Search IDP] |
