Mission: The Madagascar Fauna Group (MFG) is an international consortium of zoos and related institutions working together to conserve Madagascar's lemurs and other spectacular wildlife. Principal Research Programs: Restocking "Varecia" and monitoring released lemurs in Betampona Reserve; Training Opportunities: Educational opportunities available for Malagasy biologists on an informal basis through staff exchanges and sponsorship to attend classes and conferences Number of Staff: 20+ Associated Field Sites: Parc Ivoloina: Forestry Station, Sustainable Agriculture, Student Education Supported Species: Prolemur simus (greater bamboo lemur), Varecia variegata variegata (black-and-white ruffed lemur) Publications: Quarterly newsletter available through website.
