Mission: MFG is a consortium of North American and European zoos working in Madagascar to preserve its unique wildlife and habitats. MFG is helping two Malagasy zoos to become centers for conservation and education, and is also involved in field research and captive propagation.

Principal Research Programs: Restocking "Varecia" in Betampona Reserve; Surveys and propagation of "Erymnochelys madagascariensis"

Training Opportunities: Educational opportunities available for Malagasy biologists on an informal basis through staff exchanges and sponsorship to attend classes and conferences
