Mission: To provide quality animal care and associated services to investigators; To quarantine and condition New World monkeys from the Pan American Health Organization; To quarantine and condition New World and Old World monkeys for investigators and outside contracts; To maintain a specific pathogen free (SPF) macaque breeding center of rhesus macaques free of herpes simiae/B virus, SIV, SRV and STLV-1.
Principal Research Programs: Diabetes, transplantation, genetic diseases, breeding and behavior.
