WHAT'S NEW IN THE IDP

Along with a reorganized Primate Info Net, the International Directory of Primatology has been re-structured as well. The new IDP incorporates three previously separate sections: organizational, field study, and population management group listings from the "old" IDP; entries for individuals working in primatology from the World Directory of Primatologists; and a listing of companies offering primate-related products and services from the Products and Services Directory. Each of these sections can now be accessed from this main menu. In addition, the organizational and personal entries can be searched separately or at the same time. As always, we encourage unlisted parties to create entries for themselves by following the instructions below.

ABOUT THE IDP

The International Directory of Primatology provides information about organizations, field studies, population management, information resources and people currently active in the areas of primate research, education and conservation. The directory is managed by the Wisconsin Primate Research Center under grant numbers RR000167 and RR015311 of the National Center for Research Resources, National Institutes of Health. Additional support has been provided by the International Primatological Society (IDP and WDP), the Primate Society of Great Britain (Field Studies), and Zoo Atlanta (Population Management Groups).

SCOPE

Coverage includes (1) detailed entries for primate centers, laboratories, educational programs, foundations, conservation agencies, societies, and sanctuaries, (2) contact information and areas of interest for people working with nonhuman primates, (3) a listing of field studies and (4) information about primate specialist group members, studbook keepers and others who work with primates in captive settings. Key staff members for these programs are also listed with e-mail contacts.

The WPRC reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of a listing for the IDP, and to edit content as necessary. Directory listings are provided for information only. Inclusion of an organization in this directory does not imply endorsement by the WPRC.

LISTING YOURSELF OR YOUR ORGANIZATION IN THE IDP

Programs or organizations with a focus on primate research, conservation, education or veterinary care are welcome to create a new entry, or submit a revision of an existing entry to the IDP by using the appropriate form:
