The Callicam
The Wisconsin Primate Research Center supports one of the largest colonies of common marmosets (Callithrix jacchus) in the United States. Through the Callicam, anyone with web access can observe one of the WPRC's common marmoset families. The Callicam webcam allows site visitors to pan, zoom, and manipulate the camera themselves for two minutes at a time. Accompanying links to comprehensive information about the species along with sample exercises for use with the Callicam (see below) provide the opportunity to learn about this engaging primate while observing it live online. Our fall 2005 upgrade of the Callicam provides a more reliable Callicam platform and allows visitors to see a much greater area of the common marmoset's enclosure. Feedback on the new Callicam and/or suggestions for additional features are welcome and can be sent to Matt Hoffman, Internet Services/Outreach Librarian. NOTE: The Callicam is regularly offline for cleaning and/or maintenance of the marmoset enclosure. LEARN MORE ABOUT COMMON MARMOSETS
