52) Another leaf-eater with an unusual face, the golden snub-nosed monkey lives in western China. Little is known of their behavior in the wild. In captivity, males and females spend a lot of time in a close embrace -- this is probably an adaptation to the cool winters of their native habitat. Red monkey with a blue face sits in a sunbeam.

The flaps of skin at the corners of the mouth indicate this is an adult male.
